Frameworks & Principles We Align With
Beyond the audited certifications, we hold ourselves to a broader set of industry frameworks — the standards that increasingly define how a responsible manning partner is expected to think and operate.
- OCIMF TMSA 3 — Element 3 (Recruitment, Management and Development of Personnel): internal alignment with the maturity ladder used by tanker charterers.
- SIRE 2.0 human factors (in force since September 2024): crew competency and behavioural readiness expectations kept audit-ready.
- RightShip Crew Welfare: alignment with the RightShip Crew Welfare Self-Assessment framework — a joint SSI/IHRB/Rafto code that builds on and beyond MLC 2006. Completion in progress.
- STCW 2010 (Manila Amendments): competency assessment and training references maintained per STCW.
- MACN — Maritime Anti-Corruption Network: MACN principles supported; zero tolerance for bribery and facilitation payments. Formal membership under consideration.
- ESG — Environmental, Social & Governance: awareness of the ESG expectations shaping charterer selection — from crew welfare and labour rights to transparent governance and anti-corruption.
- ISWAN SeafarerHelp: 24/7 multilingual seafarer support referenced in our welfare communications.
Partnerships
The Marlines Training Portal — our pre-joining candidate assessment and competence-tracking platform — is built on Maritime Trainer infrastructure under a strategic partnership. It provides the Maritime English (SMCP), cognitive / aptitude, personality, competence and psychometric assessments used across our recruitment compliance workflow.
